My Long Holiday Weekend

I didn't really take any outfit pic this long holiday weekend. It was crazy/busy with family and crafts. Here are a few things I did...

We decorated our tree! It's fabulous and economical...

6 ft pre-lit tree- gifted by my uncle and aunt
decorations - on loan from Melissa
tree skirt - on loan from Melissa

We didn't have a tree and the prices of real trees are insane. Will and I decided to go the practical route this year. My uncle and aunt were buying a new tree so they gave us their old one. And since Melissa had a few color schemes of decorations, she was kind enough to let me and Will borrow some. Our free tree is so pretty!

Dinner with the family... Okay I realize I wore this purple top a week before, but it was clean by the time I wore it again :-) We had some of Will's family over for dinner and to my surprise, all of the ladies were wearing purple tops and jeans. Great minds think alike!

A couple of weeks ago Kimberly had a blog about a coupon holder she made. I checked out hers and Nikki's instructions and made one for someone who just started using coupons and was trying to organize them. It turned out so cute that I am making one for myself and for V.

Oh and I did get a new laptop. After a lot of thought, I decided that the prices of the laptops weren't worth camping out for. So in the late afternoon of Black Friday, I went to Office Depot to look for the computer I had been eyeing. The manager told me they were sold out, but that the sale was till Saturday and they were expecting a delivery truck that morning. So after my workout on Saturday, I ran over there and they had just gotten them in. I got the Black Friday price without losing any sleep. Yay! Thanks to those who gave me lots of good advice. I promise to put some of those tips to use in the future.

Now that the Thanksgiving Holiday is over, it's back to work. I'll be posting my daily outfit later tonight. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (or weekend if you're out of the US).

I love your tree, I barrowed most of my decor from my Mom. Too funny you all wore purple, I need some purple too. I love the cupon orginizer you made, I made one but very quickly with no decorations. I hope your holidays are great.

Your tree is lovely...that blue really pops against the greenery, very festive. I am so far behind in my holiday prep it isn't funny.

And how neat is that -- you all wore purple??? Wow!

Ok, that envelope organizer thingy is GENIUS! I'm going to make them for a whole bunch of stuff -- I'm so glad you posted the link, THANK YOU! Your's turned out really pretty :)

Great post! Fab job on the tree. Sooo cute how all the girls wore purple. Congrats on the new laptop! And that coupon holder turned out so good, it looks like something you would buy in a boutiquey store!
